Bordeaux residence

In a serene cove off the French Atlantic Ocean sits a charming French Villa. The epitome of understated chic, this luxurious accommodation provides the perfect base to indulge your senses and experience France’s gastronomic heartland. The Villa is a 5 star luxury property built in 1903 and meticulously renovated to a high specification. The estate is contemporary and tranquil but retains an authentic, irrepressible French charm. Situated near to Bordeaux,  the estate is surrounded by scented pine forests, and a century-old stone wall and heritage gate separate the grounds from the beach.

This property’s informal atmosphere is ideal for a chic house party for friends and family, with space to accommodate functions inside and out. Reunions, anniversaries and celebrations can all be catered for in its contemporary surroundings. It also offers a refreshingly different option for some corporate hospitality or informal meetings, with the added bonus of its proximity to some of the finest vineyards in the world.

All of the reception/ function rooms feature open fires, contemporary furnishings and modern art work. The traditional library, with dark wood panelling on the walls, is an intimate hideaway perfect for curling up in front of the open fire, or for an informal meeting. The Salon is a light, contemporary space, for gathering and relaxing in sleek yet comfortable surroundings.

The Cinema/Conference room/Office is a function room which can cater to a larger capacity of up to 25. Bathed in light from surrounding windows, and with a lofted ceiling, this is a very versatile room for presentations and meetings. The spacious dining room is surrounded with French windows magnificently framing the surrounding views. Minimalist furnishings accent decadent chandeliers for a chic dining experience.

The property has a total of 8 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 15 persons. The bedrooms are furnished to an impeccable standard, with quirky features such as ‘his & hers’ double en-suite facilities and modern comforts such as flat-screen TVs. A perfect balance between true comfort and outstanding modernism, these rooms are as stunning as they are homely.

Aquitaine is France’s gastronomic heartland, and much of the country’s finest ingredients are sourced here. Regional specialities include locally farmed oysters, foie gras, caviar and of course some of the finest wines the world has to offer. The Villa can be fully hosted with a private chef and butler service, and all stays include complimentary soft drinks, local plain and sparkling water, daily French breakfast and a daily house keeper for 6 hours per day.  Additional facilities such as laundry service, masseuse or security personnel can also be easily arranged and the in-house concierge can advise and assist guests according to personal preferences. A pick-up or drop-off at the airport or train station by chauffeur or helicopter is another option.

Facilities include a spacious garden with ecological swimming pool and natural Spring. On-site activities include boules, croquet, table tennis, trampoline and volley ball. The beach is a stones throw away, where guests can enjoy watersports such as fishing, sailing, boating, wake-boarding and surfing. Nearby, the chic Bassin d’Arcachon hosts many French celebrities and VIPS.

This really is a gorgeous property with all the attributes for the house party of a lifetime.
