Last year was huge for the wedding industry, with some of the world’s biggest stars saying ‘I do’, from the extravagant nuptials of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to the covert celebration between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

That’s why we’ve put together some of the best celebrity weddings of 2018 – in case you can find inspiration from them for your upcoming day.

– Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

This list wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t include one of the royal weddings of 2018. As well as Princess Eugenie tying the knot with Jack Brooksbank in October, her cousin Prince Harry pipped her to the post with his wedding just a few months earlier.

The prince went all out with his Hollywood-style nuptials in May, marrying former actress Meghan Markle in a star-studded ceremony.

The pair became man and wife at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel, before enjoying a reception at St George’s Hall for 600 guests of the Queen followed by a more intimate evening do for 200 friends and family at Frogmore House.

The couple’s guest list stole headlines, with the likes of George Clooney, Serena Williams, Elton John, and Tom Hardy in attendance. Their black tie attire for the evening, modern choice of wedding cake, American-themed snacks for the reception, and their phenomenal venues made this wedding the most memorable of 2018, that’s for sure.

 Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to singer Nick Jonas might not have been a royal affair, but it certainly competed with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s in terms of its extravagance.

For a start, the couple celebrated their nuptials over five days, with the bride wearing at least eight bridal outfits throughout. The event kicked off in October with the bridal shower, followed by their Mehendi at the end of November. They had both traditional Indian and Christian ceremonies to honour both cultures, as well as receptions for all their friends and family, and more intimate gatherings.

The celebrations finally came to an end on December 20th, with most of the events having taken place in her native country.

Priyanka’s exquisite bridal dresses were the talk of the town, including her Mehendi gown from the Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla collection, a custom-made Ralph Lauren wedding dress with a 75-foot veil, and a traditional red lehenga by Sabyasachi, which took 3,720 hours to create.

– Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

On the opposite end of the scale was Miley Cyrus’ wedding to actor Liam Hemsworth. Also tying the knot at the end of the year, the young couple surprised the world when they released a family photo of their special day on Instagram.

Despite having a two-year engagement, the public was unsure they would see the pair walk down the aisle as they had a history of breaking up and getting back together.

However, the singer recently confirmed the relationship is for good, saying the Australian hunk is her “survival partner”.

They decided to keep their nuptials intimate and casual, inviting close friends and family, and keeping the Big Day a complete surprise from the media.
